This special event offers you a unique opportunity to make art with fellow artists outdoors, sharing the day with each other and passersby alike. Artists of all ages and skill levels are invited to participate.

Each location has a designated Painting Zone with a variety of subject matter to choose from. Try a cityscape, a waterfront view, the flora and fauna around you, or even the picture in your mind that the day inspires. Work in acrylics or oils, watercolour or pencil, collage or assemblage, or all of the above! All mediums and points of view are welcome.

Hockey Night in Canada’s Play On! is excited to announce that for the ninth year, Canada’s Official Street Hockey Tournament will visit Coquitlam, BC during the weekend of June 8-9, 2013 on the streets outside Coquitlam Centre. Play On! Vancouver is a team pre-registration event featuring recreational & competitive 4-on-4 street hockey divisions for boys, girls, men, and women of all ages and skill levels. Anyone can play! Each tournament also features a corporate division. Prizes are awarded to winning teams in every division. The event is free to spectators, and features a festival atmosphere that includes food and other vendor exhibits, a celebrity street hockey game, and breakaway skills competition. Regular Season Games for the 300+ teams expected to play in the tournament run Saturday June 8 from 8:00am – 8:00pm on each of the rinks being utilized. Playoffs begin on all rinks on Sunday June 9 at 8am, with quarter, semis, and finals action in all age divisions happening between 11am and 5pm that day. As part of the program’s TENTH anniversary celebrations we are attempting to set the RECORD for the WORLD'S LARGEST STREET HOCKEY TOURNAMENT. The record setting attempt will include the total number of participants across 20 regional events nationwide in the spring/summer and will culminate with a National Championship event in the fall. Free the Children and Grouse Mountain present the Whistler Water One Climb on Saturday, June 22nd. The One Climb is an inspiring one-day event to raise money to bring clean water to over 10,000 people in Kenya. Wear blue and join the party at the base of the Grouse Grind, then Climb with hundreds of others. The dance party continues at the top, ending with the amazing Spencer West.

2nd Polish Festival Vancouver in Lynn Valley
Celebrating Two Days of Polish Culture and Food on the North Shore

It is the pleasure of the North Shore Polish Association Belweder to announce their second Polish Cultural Festival to be held in Lynn Valley Village/Town Centre on the weekend of September 6th & 7th, 2014. We invite you, once again, to enjoy the exciting flavors of Polish culture and food.
The event will feature Polish music, singing and folk dancing, with the second day celebrating our children and youth, with puppet shows, cartoons, face-painting, and a Talent Show for elementary school age children and high school youth. "Can you sing, dance, act, and play a musical instrument...?"

Special guests include Polonez Polish Folk Arts Ensemble from Edmonton and Puppet Theatre Jester.

Welcome to the Annual Boat Show at the Creek! This year we are on track to become Vancouver’s largest floating boat show, offering more opportunities than ever for people to relax and get out on the water.

Boating is all about bringing people together to have fun, and we have some great family-friendly events planned this year. The Bouncy Castle is back for the kids, the JRFM Roadshow crew is returning for another cookout, we’ll have daily performances by Jim Foster, and Courtney Mermaid will be making her first appearance at Mosquito Creek Marina.
